Lab News: December 2025 Farewells and New Beginnings

In December 2025, our lab marked an important moment as we said goodbye to two outstanding lab mates who are moving on to exciting new chapters in their careers.

Prof. Yaguang Zhu concluded his postdoctoral appointment with the lab and has begun a new role as a faculty member at Texas Tech University. We are grateful for his many contributions and leadership, and we look forward to seeing his research program grow and thrive in this next stage.

Dr. Xunkai Chen successfully defended his PhD thesis, an achievement that reflects years of dedication and impactful research. He is now taking his expertise to industry, where he will be starting a new position at the battery startup Nascent Materials.

We are proud of both Yaguang and Xunkai and wish them continued success as they go on to do great things. Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work and to the collaborative spirit of our lab.
